City Harvest há 3 horas · Editado Unfortunately, this morning the House voted for the ‪#‎FarmBill‬ that included $8.6 Billion in cuts to ‪#‎SNAP‬. 25% of those cuts are headed for New York City. We now turn to the Senate to encourage a NO vote. The Senate could vote as soon as later this week! Thanks to everyone who stood with us this morning to speak against these cuts, including Joel Berg from the New York City Coalition Against Hunger, our Board and Food Council members Marc Murphy and Rick Smilow, Food Council members Tom Colicchio, Ted Allen, Kerry Heffernan, Tom Valenti, and Bill Telepan, New York City Public Advocate Letitia "Tish" James, Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer and so many others. We will continue to provide updates about this bill as we work to stop these cuts from passing in the Senate.
